“Everything Everywhere All at Once” (EEAAO) made a big splash at this year’s Oscars, winning seven awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert).
And it’s not just because of the crazy visuals and kung fu fights — this film is all about family and the lengths a mother will go to save her daughter.
The film’s portrayal of family values resonated with audiences, featuring relatable characters dealing with everyday struggles and the lengths a mother would go to save her daughter.
The Daniels share the tribulations of a Chinese immigrant family running a laundry business, which won over the hearts of Americans.
It beat out some heavy hitters like Spielberg and Cate Blanchett who went home empty-handed, and sadly, Portugal didn’t take home any awards. But trust me, this film is worth the hype.
